EUROPEAN CERTIFICATE

OVERVIEW

The European Cycle Tourism Certificate, created in partnership with the European Cycle Tourism Union (UECT), offers the opportunity to explore Europe by bicycle or tandem, by visiting a distinctive site in each European country; It is reserved for members of federations that are members of the UECT.

The route map allows you to collect commemorative stamps, with only one required per country visited. To obtain your first certification, simply collect one commemorative stamp from each of five countries of your choice—one of which must be collected during a European Week (SE) or a European Link (TUE)—with the five countries represented being different. Next, to obtain a second certification, simply collect one souvenir stamp from each of five new countries of your choice, and so on up to the tenth certification.

Note: A souvenir photo may be used in place of the stamp; in this case, the bicycle and the cyclist must appear in the photo taken at the chosen location.

The European Cycling Certificate will be considered complete once all 49 countries in Europe have been visited.

The 49 European countries recognized by the UECT are as follows:

Albania, Germany, Andorra, Armenia, Austria, Belgium, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Croatia, Denmark, Spain, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Kosovo, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, North Macedonia, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Norway, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Czech Republic, Romania, United Kingdom, Russia, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, and Vatican City.

Road maps are sold in UECT member countries.
