On May 18 and 19, 2017, the Executive Committee of the UECT traveled to Staszów (Poland) the site of the 14th European Cycle Tourism Week 2018, to meet with representatives of the PTTK cycle tourism federation and the municipality of Staszów to review the progress of this event, which will take place from July 7 to 14, 2018.
During these meetings, the following topics were discussed: the organization of the federation’s campsite, which will be held at the Kurozwęki Estate near Staszów; potential hotel and homestay accommodations near Staszów; dining options; cycling routes and social gathering spots; safety; entertainment; and registration procedures.
During one of the meetings, Mr. Leszek KOPEC, Mayor of Staszów, and Patrice GODART, President of UECT, signed the Terms of Reference for the Young Cyclotourist Activities, which will take place in Staszów in its new format and will also welcome children from local schools for a European international exchange.
