At the most recent UECT Executive Committee meeting in late October 2018, the application for membership in the UECT by the Association For Sport (AFS) of Bosnia – Herzegovina. Delegates from the UECT member federations gave their agreement in principle to this membership, which will be finalized at the next UECT General Assembly in March 2019.
The Association For Sport (AFS) of Bosnia – Herzegovina aims to expand in the field of cycle tourism and become a leading organization in its country; this is why its leaders wish to build this reputation through the UECT, leveraging its expertise—particularly in organizing cycle tourism trips and mentoring young people.
The UECT visited the AFS headquarters in Banja Luka to meet with the leadership, present its bylaws and organizational structure, explore opportunities for future events in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and sign a membership agreement.
