The Portuguese Cycling Federation – Recreational Cycling Commission (FPC) will organize the 15th European Cycle Tourism Week in 2019, which will take place from June 29 to July 6, 2019, in the city of Belmonte, located in central Portugal within the region of the 12 Historic Villages, which can be explored at https://aldeiashistoricasdeportugal.com/fr/

The FPC and the UECT, who were received by Mr. António Dias, mayor of Belmonte, were able to tour the various sites of the facilities that will be made available and familiarize themselves with the logistics that will be put in place

The event, which is expected to draw approximately 1,500 participants from various European countries, will feature a program combining cycle touring and mountain biking (380 km of marked trails) with visits to tourist attractions, along with a program of cultural activities.

The presidents of the Portuguese Cycling Federation, Delmino Pereira, and of the European Cycle Tourism Union (UECT), Patrice Godart, signed a collaboration agreement on March 12, 2018, in Lisbon, awarding Portugal the organization of the 2019 European Cycle Tourism Week.
